94 Camry 4 cyl automatic sedan - stalls after driving and engine hot, no check engine lights

Starts great when cold, runs for awhile and stalls while moving, no rough idle-just dies, also happens when cold start and sitting just idling once the engine is hot, noticed the fans don't come on unless AC is turned on-then both fans work, disconnected the NEW engine coolant sensor and fans don't come on; plan on changing the temperature switch next to the coolant sensor and the radiator cooling fan switch; next will be cleaning the IAC. No history on the car since I just bought it. Trying to do stuff I can before it goes to the Toyota guys next week. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Also change your ambient air temp sensor. That is probably your issue as far as the stalling.

could a broken ported vacuum switch cause the problem? when you say ambient air temp sensor are you referring to the sensor in the air filter box top housing? is it suppose to fit snug in the housing? mine seems loose and it has a slight wiggle to it. is that normal? thanks for the suggestion and help. Anyone have a good strategy for taking out a sensor that is really stuck? just curious.....thanks

Yes, I believe that's where it is located. Take some silicone and give a tight seal. See if it changes anything. As for the vac switch, I have never replaced one or had a problem with one. It does control your EGR, so if it's broken, that may be causing your problem.
