Asked by Mar 05, 2017 at 05:04 PM about the 1993 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have two camrys one is a 97 the other a 93 im
trying to see is it possible to put a 97 motor in a 93
body both cars have a 4cylinder motor

1 Answer

The '93 is not set up to run a '97 engine and transmission. The '93 has a OBD1 computer and the '97 has a OBDII computer. There is a way to do this but then you have a problem with the gauges, creates lots of head aches.
