My 1991 Toyota Camry brake light just popped on, what does that mean ?

It just popped on and when I drive, when I hit the brakes the brake light pops on and go
back off.

When the brake light comes on, it usually indicated a low brake fluid level in the reservior. Top it off with the appropriate brake fluid for your car and look around your vehicle, (all 4 wheels plus underneath) for the leak.
