My car will turn on, I put it in drive and my rpms move but my car doesn't. Reverse drive, nothing works.my car wont move. What could cause that?
If an automatic transmission is low on fluid, the car won't move. Of course, if it's not moving because of low fluid, something had to cause the fluid to leak out. If you know where your automatic transmission dipstick is, you run the engine until it's warm, then you check the level with the engine running. While you're checking the fluid level, the trans fluid should be a nice bright red, if it's a dark red, time for a fluid and filter change. If it's orange, amber or darker, then you have a more serious automatic transmission problem http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-check-automatic-transmission-fluid.html
or somehow your shift linkage came.unhooked...rare but ive had it happen.
