2001 Avalon with some cosmetic issues is it worth fixing them to get a better price on a trade or to sell it or should I save the money and trade it as is.
Right now I think a dealer may offer me 1000.00 for my car but if I fix the cosmetic problems I can probably get a lot more. Car runs great. Also will it depreciate a lot more if I wait until Sept. to trade it in???
The depreciation question would normally matter because of e model,year change, but at 15 years old, it shouldn't really matter... Will be more about what you put on it for miles... As for putting money into the car to get a better trade in value, I wouldn't recommend it... It isn't new enough or collectible somyou will put money into it and probably not get it back out and will most likely lose money... Remember, each dealer knows their sweet spot and what they will want to do to retail or wholesale a car, you don't know that, so something you think will ad value, may have no value to the...
