Erratic Idle - When starts the idle is about 1100 RPM as it warms up, it goes to 700 - 400 RPM
I've replaced the Throttle Body Assy., Vapor Canister, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Distributor Cap, Ignition Rotor, Spark Plugs, Ignition Wires, Oil Filter, Oil, Coolant, Fuel Filter, EGR Valve PCV Valve, Knock Sensor, Oil Cooler Assy, Thermostat, Timing Belt, Mass Air Flow Sensor, oxygen sensor (before and after), Catalytic Converter, Muffler, and Fuel Injectors. Vacuums ok.
Most of the things you replaced would have little effect on the problem. You need a new mechanic.
You have not mentions the coolant temp sensor which would peak my interest as it is a temp variation problem.
That sounds pretty normal for a 3.0 to me. They're supposed to idle high until they warm up.
Kyle I think what they meant is that it idles from 400-700 in a surging up and down when it warms up, but yes, your correct, it is suppose to idle faster the colder it is
idle control valve or fast idle valve
