is the tank vented on 94 4 runner
hard starting in the am but after first start it is fine all day then again in the am almost
2 min cranking
You could have a couple of problems going on, first check the codes, it might give you a place to start, if no codes then check the cold start injector and the sensor, as these seem to cause the biggest problem, next test your fuel pressure and flow, if it reading is low test for full battery voltage at the fuel pump before replacing the pump, then there is the vane air flow assembly, sometimes the door gets cruddy and won't open quite far enough to turn on the fuel pump while cranking, If you haven't found your trouble by now then it could be an ohms problem in the fuel injection circuit, maybe bad injectors, but ohm them first. Of course there is always the possibility of bad wiring in a rig this old, so look around under the hood.
Try this, turn the ignition on but don't try to start it. Count to 5. Turn the ignition off. Repeat. Now try to start it. If it starts right up the fuel system is losing pressure. This can be a bad check valve (if equipped) or a dying fuel pump. HTH. -Jim
