Transmission Slipping in & out of OD

When Going 55 mph and faster slips in and out of OD often causing engine to rev up

Sounds like the overdrive band is burnt and or the torque convertor, basically transmission rebuild time. You can keep driving it till you have enough money to preform the repair, just keep it locked out of OD.
