I have never heard of anybody putting in a 4 cylinder where a V6 had been in a Toyota without transferring the entire running gear from the 4 cylinder vehicle. You can try googling transmission adapters for your application. Some of the off road guys out here have put in small block Chevys in their pickups but they say it is a lot of work making mounts for the engine, tranny and transfercase.
