gas pedal or engine stalling every once in awhile...common?

Asked by ssarah77 Jun 27, 2014 at 07:06 PM about the 2005 Toyota Prius FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In the last two years my 2005 prius has stalled out randomly. When I turn it off and back
on it starts working again. I am wondering if it might be an electrical connection problem
or the actual engine. I dont want to go into the dealership because they charge to even
diagnose the problem. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or if it is common
at all.
Thanks

What do you mean by "stall out". Does the Ready light on dash go off when this happens?
