Do you need to replace the rear window when a rear defrost has pulled away from the windwow.

Asked by Oct 28, 2014 at 03:05 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed last winter that one of the rear defrost cords has detached from the rear window.  Do I have to replace the complete window or is there a repair kit that can be used to fix this? I am not going to pay over $2,000.00 to replace a window that is not even broken.

Yes there is a contact repair kit, you can get it at most parts stores, make sure you follow the directions to the letter or 1 it won't work 2 you shatter your window due to excessive heat.
