Asked by Jan 21, 2017 at 04:57 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Malibu LT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I shift my car into reverse or drive, the car doesn't start to move on its
own like its supposed to.

Need to check the transmission fluid. May be low. Then it should be looked at to make sure everything is ok. You may need some help on checking the fluid level as most of these do not have a dip stick, but a plug in the trany to check the level. Not sure on the 2006.
