Hey guys i have a 2006 impala ls. Its literaly pouring the pwr steering fluid on da ground frum underneath. The bar on the undercarriage which is meant to protect under the engine( it runs da width of da car) is basically soaked in pwr steering. If i add more it bleeds out in like 5 minutes. I recently just got a new engine put in. N i noticed it was sprayin power steering fluid from the resevior. So i changed it. But now its pouring(leak is definately the wrong word) from underneath. If u take da cap off da resevior da fluid looks like its bubbling. It doesnt whine wen i turn da wheel wen it has fluid. Need sum help pls guys. Srry if im not precise enuff. I not good with under the hood yet
Hope someone with some knowledge chip in soon.
Me too bro
The belt is operating your power steering along with other parts on your Vic. The leak is probably coming from the belt pully for the power steering which would be one of the circle objects that is spinning the belt with a bolt in the middle of it. It will be the one directly closes to where you checked the fluid.
That or the high pressure hose needs replaced if the leak is that bad. The ends that do the connections on the hose tend to give out.
