first check all the battery cables and at both ends..do you have a battery surface charge of at keast 12.4 volts...then load test battery and check the amp output..change the battey first if the cables are all ok..

I had a ground issue on my festiva one time. Man it was a nightmare to figure out. I had issues going up hills and I had issues getting it to start. It would "click" but bump starting down a hill it would run fine. It turned out to be a ground from the body to the engine. The starter grounds to the engine. You could try cleaning one ground at a time with a wire brush and some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel to wipe the dirt. I'd also add a dab of grease to the bolt threads and then try starting it after each one. You could also try taking one jumper cable from the negative battery cable to a large bolt head on the engine and seeing if it starts easier. Or you could have dirty brushes in the starter? Maybe Kelly will have more for you? Keep us posted!
