1993 Subaru Legacy wagon auto transmission failed, then ok again

Asked by Keith Apr 03, 2017 at 07:22 PM about the 1993 Subaru Legacy L Wagon AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

93 Legacy wagon, owned since new. drove ok, then for a few days felt like the
transmission wasn't fully responding but still drove ok. next day, drove couple
of miles, stopped to let someone out, and the car wouldn't move, in any gear,
forward or reverse. Had car towed home. Let it sit two days, went to check on
it, and it drove again. I haven't tried to go anywhere because I don't want to
get stuck again. Any explanations?

May be low on transmission fluid. Check the transmission fluid level, you do this while the engine is warmed up and running.
