1993 have a subaru legacy it sat for 3 yrs trying to get it running again. New battery and starter wont start not even clicking

trying to start our subutaru it has been sitting for 3 yrs.  Put a new battery and
starter in it wont start not even any clicking.  Can you help please

Clean all battery cable connections, ground especially. Should drain the old gas out unless you had some Stable in the gas.

Good suggestion above. You need to check all the grounds in the engine bay, especially from the body to the engine/trans because that's how the starter works. But if you aren't getting a solid click (the starter drive popping out-in) then idk if the ground is your issue yet. Do the lights come on (CEL / OIL / etc) when you turn the key to ON? Take off the oil filler cap and make sure it doesn't smell like fuel (in case it is hydrolocked). After 3 years it might be good to go ahead and change the filter and oil anyway. Check your fuses. You might also buy a repair manual to diagnose the ignition circuit.

Why'd you replace the starter? Did you test it? Small chance its solenoid is no good, or the accessible contacts aren't installed correctly? I doubt the motor is locked up. Can't remember if there's a starter relay (IGN) in the circuit....
