Overheating & smoking under the hood

Asked by May 13, 2017 at 02:13 PM about the 1990 Subaru Legacy 4 Dr L Sedan

Question type: General

I have a 1990 Subaru legacy & it keeps overheating
& smoking every 3 to 5 miles. I don't know if its the
radiator or something else. Prior to this I always
had to bleed the system. Any answers? Sincerely, a
girl who don't know anything about cars.

Since you say you know nothing about cars, you have to find out why it is overheating. Could be many things, from a coolant leak, to a bad water pump, fan not running, head gasket etc. Have a mechanic look it over for you to give you cost to repair.
