how to replace battery cables on a 1995 corvette
thankfully it's a RED cable...at the starter there is a solenoid...the end of the cable is bolted to the starter solenoid....you are going to have to follow the "footprints" of where that cable is snaked on through...and put your new one in....tighten 'er down...enjoy my oil painting~
When you say rotten, what caused the battery cable to get "rotten"? Did it short out and the covering crisp and breaking? If you have a long strand of heavy wire, attach it to the cable as you pull it out through some of the passes and then use the wire to pull the new cable through the same holes. Spray with WD-40 or Vaseline to help lesson resistance on the pulling of the cable. Clean all connections also. Have fun.
