why my 2001 forester; turn car off but dashboard lights stay on?

Question type: General

turn car off but dashboard lights stay on and drain the battery...?

1 Answer

Are there some parking lights also staying on in the taillights? If so, check the switch on top of the steering column. Is there a roller wheel to dim the lights in the cluster? I've not messed with 01 so I'm just guessing, but see if it is rolled all the way up and keeping your lights on.
