Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm trying to find out how to get to my car door wiring for my speakers. I believe there is a short somewhere in that part on it but I can't find anywhere to do that. My speaker when its plugged in will go in and out with the sound but the sound wont be right either. Anyone know how to get to it?

The wiring harness will be under the dash and in the door panel. Unless you know what wires in the harness, it will be tough to diagnose without a wiring diagram and probing. Maybe the speaker wiring right at the speaker is faulty? Take the inner door panel to verify. Maybe try a different speaker when you have things apart?
