I Need a hot (+) wire in the trunk area to hook up an amplified antenna

Asked by Sep 09, 2014 at 07:08 PM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Any Ideas. Local shop told me the trunk light wire. Seems to work only when light is on, however.

The wire is usually hot all of the time, the switch is in the light assembly itself that is why it turns on when the trunk is opened, use a test light to be sure cause there is an option on the trunk latch with auto close.
