i just had my radiator flushed and was told i needed a waterpump but im worried that there might be something else going on because the check engine light is now on

if you just had something done to the coolant system, could be a possible thermostat sticking open or closed, and other issues with the car such as hesitations or poor engine performance? if not scan tool required

as long as the weep hole is dry under the water pump and it stays within operating temps, it should be fine. also post the codes when u do a scan on the OBD2 computer.
