Transmission shifting hard

Asked by Nov 19, 2015 at 08:26 PM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 06' Grand Prix and if I drive slow (0-20mph) for a good period of time or do a lot of stopping and going with a lot of slow driving, for instance in heavy traffic, my car will start shifting really hard from 1st to 2nd gear and from 3rd to 4th gear. If I stop and turn the car off for even a short period of time (5minutes) and start it again, it'll stop doing it. Its never happened if I drive at normal speeds. Thoughts?

Try adding some Lucas Transmission Stop Slip. Do not over fill.
