2005 grand prix...shifts fine runs fine....transmission is
squalling/noisy.....fluid burnt bad...why?

If the tranny fluid is brown and toasty then it should be changed , if you drop the pan or suck it out somehow there's still the fluid in the torque converter that you don't get , and I've heard the "flush " doesn't either and it's not worth the $$
