I have a 2005 Pontiac grand Prix will start drive for about 7-10mins then die also have to jump the battery . . .I've replaced the alternator battery and starter still having this problem
The battery also seems to drain after the 7-10 min drive any idea why
That would be the altnator its not charging
Have the battery fully charged with a battery charger and then see what happens. A battery won't drain in 7-10 minutes if the alternator is faulty unless it isn't charged in the first place. Check the wiring to the alternator and make sure everything is hooked up properly. Also have the alternator checked to make sure it is indeed putting out power. Even though its brand new it may have got fried with all the parts changing and boosting etc.
