ABS lights

Asked by May 18, 2016 at 07:27 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My abs, service traction lights come on
sporadically. Don't stay on, sometimes don't come
on at all. My brakes seem to be OK. Is it the sensor,
or can it just be reset. I don't know, I am a woman,
just tired of this problem. My car runs fine, 2004
Pontiac grand Prix gtp 183,000 miles. Please help.

Since the lights are on or were on (codes are restored), a mechanic can scan the car for the ABS codes to tell them what the problem is, be it a wheel sensor or the module or something else and repair.

Thank you, I will try that next.

Most likely a bad weel hub. Try to stay away from a dealership they will charge way too much
