am trying to swap it with an 5.3 enging and trann
will it fit with no problems

Nope, you will be in for quite a job trying to do something like this. Almost everything will have the be custom manufactured. In my opinion don't even start.

In 2005 Pontiac Released the GXP With the 5.3 LS4 V8. But it was heavily modified. The crankshaft in these engines were actually shorter than the RWD/AWD. 5.3's You can make a GXP clone of your GT1 But you will need everything from a GXP Or a GXP enfine management system, engine trans and cradle. Plus aftermarket brakes, suspension, etc...

Save yourself!! Sell your GP and buy a factory performance car. Modify it if you want still more. Building your own is not a practical option for you.
