no power new battery.

i just got a new battery,ill try to start the car and there wont be power anywhere not even the door chime,ill try starting it again like after a day or so and it starts fine,i tried starting the car today again no power at all.Awhile back we took the cover on top of the engine off and noticed some rats had made their nest there and this wire in the pic was chewed could that be the problem i just put electric tape to cover it.sorry i borrowed the pic from some ones post.

That’s the fuel injection wiring, so if it is damaged that can cause a no start but you should still be able to crank it over. There maybe more damage than you seeing. Main power or ground cables, fuse box wiring, engine grounds. I’ve seen rats cause major wiring damage.
