So are you getting spark to the spark plug? And how are the plugs & wires? Another thing to check would be compression. But at normal idle you can have a miss and the engine not stall. You may have more going on to check out,

If your Grand Prix has over 100,000 miles on it you're due for a tune up (new spark plugs and spark plug wires). Especially if you don't know for sure that it's ever been tuned up before. When you do the tune up look at the spark plug for cylinder number 6. Is it wet and smell of gasoline? Coolant? Is it oily? You want to be looking at the tip that goes into the engine. Also, pull the oil dipstick. Is there white milky "goop" on the dipstick? If so and you have the 3.1L it's going to be a head gasket. If you have the 3.8L it's going to be the intake manifold gasket. Especially if you're between 90,000 and 120,000 miles. HTH. -Jim
