What transmission will fit my03 Pontiac grand prix
1997 thru 2004 used the 4T65-E transmission. There were different variations of this transmission. Be sure that the codes on the replacement transmission are the same as on the one that's in your car now. You'll find the codes on a tag on the transmission. Look for codes M15, MN3, MN7, MD7, or M76. This tells you the specific model of 4T65-E that you have. It's important to replace with the same model for proper computer control. HTH. -Jim
There were a bazillion '03s made so it shouldn't be too tough to locate one. Start with your local auto wreckers, then look online. As well as Kijijji and Craigslist, there are some websites where auto wreckers from all over post their cars and parts. A transmission is a big enough item that its worth having it shipped from further afield if necessary. I found one 600 miles away when the one in my GTP went, but the price was right and even with shipping it wasn't too bad. "03 is getting to be pretty old, so you shouldn't have to pay through the nose for it. Most wreckers will be glad to get rid of it. Most people don't bother fixing a car that old. Good luck.
