i have a 02 grand prix can i switch my motor with an 96 nissan maxium

IT would require some customization and swapping more than just the engine. All the electrical harness's and ECM will need to be swapped over, and other customization, including motor mounts and transmissions etc. Too much for what it worth. So find the same motor that is in your 2002 grand prix and replace it. 3.1 V6. I know that size engine was used in many other GM vehicles. That is your best bang for buck solution.
