How do I fix my overdrive in my 2002 pontiac GP 3.8

My trans wont shift into overdrive. Anyone have any suggestions.

So either the overdrive is shot or the solenoid is not activating the overdrive gear. Have you checked for any transmission codes? That might be the first thing to do, if no luck there then take it too a good tranny shop so they can plug in and run the series of tests on the tranny and TCM.
