Was the service engine soon light on before you hit the curb? If so, ignore the P0449 code for now. Check the battery cable connections at both ends. Including the pigtail ground connection on the passenger's side fender and the positive cable connection to the underhood fuse box. Remove the cover from the underhood fuse box and make sure the fuses and relays are in their slots securely and there's no corrosion on any of the slots or battery cable connections. The in car fuse box is next to the glove box. Open the glove box door and look to the right of the glove box. Make sure those fuses are secure in their slots. The P0449 code is for the EVAP system vent valve which is part of the fuel pump assembly, as is the sending unit for the gas gauge readout. A gas gauge that always shows full or beyond full has a bad power (positive) connection. So inspect the wires going to the gas tank and make sure everything is clean and tight. It sounds like when you hit the curb something electrical got jarred loose. Hope that helps! Jim
