2002 grand prix gt 2 door. Starts fine when it is started first time, but when vehicle warms up, it usually will not start right away. You have to wait about 5 - 45 minutes for it to start again.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have pulled the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator for about 5
minutes while the vehicle is running and no gas came out of the fuel
pressure regulator, so, i assume it is good.  I haven't changes the fuel filter
or checked the fuel line pressure yet because its my sons car and he lives
about 3 1/2 hours from me.  is it possible that the fuel filter could be the
culprit?  If not, it is likely the fuel pump, which i am really hoping its not.
