Do you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key to the run(not start/crank) position? Do you have spark?

Sounds like Anti-theft issue ... typically on a GM the car will start and run for less than 10 seconds


Sounds like a failed fuel pump to me too.

The fuel pump sounds like the problem ... although with the "sudden death syndrome" it could be ignition issues. Anti-theft has a safety in that it won't shut down once you are on the road
