No crank no start

Asked by Jun 18, 2016 at 06:42 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: General

Won't crank only sometimes move shifter
back and forth from park and neutral then
it will start in one of the two

3 Answers

put the shifter in neutral and see if the car will start. If it does its a bad sensor in your shifter.

Sometimes it will start in neutral sometimes not and sometimes it will start in park sometimes not but it will always start in one or the other

I'm having the same problem but my problem is that I have to leave the key in the on position for a few mins in order to start does anyone know what it could be
