Starting issues with my 2000 Grand Prix.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so my grand prix seems to have
quite a few problems. Lately I've
noticed the mpg go from 23 to just 15
. Then the power steering pump was
replaced and its sounds like its going
bad again. Why did this happen? And
now im the later few days I've
realized that its having trouble
starting if I turn it off and back on 15
minutes later. And the rpms have
been bouncing up and down when I
idle, and then even more after I
accelerate then let off the gas. Any
ideas on what could be causing these
problems? Im really hoping its not
going to be a super hard thing to fix.

Might be a pulley that is locking up. Best to have your local garage have a look at it. It's probably the same issue that is causing the starting , fluctuating idle and low MPG.
