rear end grinding noise

1999 grand prix towing small tent trailer turn left or
right grinding noise new brakes and rotors.   any
ideas as to what would cause the noise straigh t
line driving ok

Loss of proper preload in the wheel bearings, but on this model I believe they are sealed so you will have to replace the hub assemblies. 2 in back and 2 in front depending on where the noise is coming from. You stated that it is coming from the rear so that would be the first ones to replace. Note they should be replaced in pairs even though they are sold separately.
