Why does my outside Temperature sensor register ok to start, but after about 10 minutes of driving it starts to decrease slowly to - degrees. air stops cooling as it gets to 32 or below.

temperature states out at normal temp and air is cold.  after about 10 minutes
temperature states to drop until it gets to minus degrees and air is not cold.  
Happens every time I drive. Just now has about 90,000 miles.  do not drive a
lot on long trips.

Might be a fault sensor.
