Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At tiimes all of the interior lights that normally dim when the head lights come, do not come on. Sometimes when I switch the headlights offf and on manually they work other times not. Could the head light switch be the problem? It has been an on going problem. Finally though they don't work at all.
