what are the causes of rearend wobble on a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix.

at lower speeds you can really feel the rear wobble side to side at higher speeds its not as bad.

Check to see if your lug nuts are good and tight. If so, then I'd have the rear tires checked for balance and tire wear. If the tire wear is abnormal, then I'd suspect your in need of new shocks.

You might look it over for a bent wheel.

Could also be a warped rotor, causing the brake pad to rub the rotor causing the wheel to grab.
