I have a 1997 pontiac grand prix gtp with 294000 miles on
it. It blows the doors off any other car. But it has one code
it's for bank sensor 1 changed it I can see it's working.
When I start the car it idles rough but when the car is warm
it's good but when I turn it off and turn it back on it does it

The problem is probably in the wiring somewhere. As modern cars age the electrical systems start to break down. Wires break from chafing or vibration, connections corrode and become dirty or let in moisture and grounds start to fail. All of these things can cause the computer to "think" things are not working when really they are. In other words go through your electrical system, tidy things up and you may find the problem goes away
