replacement high stoplight bulb

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I safely replace high mounted  oem stoplight bulb with halogen?

A halogen bulb is just a standard bulb with an extended life, as long as the wattage is the same as the oem one and the bulb is a 12 volt dc bulb the vehicle will never notice a difference.
