weird noise

Asked by Nov 23, 2016 at 08:16 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE1

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My '04 Pontiac Grand Am SE makes a weird sound
when I put it into drive and also into reverse. My
Service engine soon light is on and I'm trying to
avoid going to the mechanic because it'll cost me
an arm and a leg. I'm hearing that it can possibly
be low trans fluid but I'm not sure. Can anybody
help me out?

Visit your local auto parts store and ask them to scan the computer. Most stores will do it for free. HTH. -Jim
