My 2004 Pontiac Grand AM has a hard time starting and once you get it going, it'll stall out at stop lights. Is this a starter issue? A gas issue? Battery problem?

It sounds like an idle problem what engine do you have?

Sounds like a bad IAC (Idle Air Control) valve or dirty throttle body. HTH. -Jim
