I just purchased a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am on August 7th, 2014. I am having problems with it starting at times and security lights be flashing. The owner told me to turn the ignition halfway on. wait 15 minutes until security lights stop flashing and the car would start. What should I do about that situation and what could be causing that problem?

Sounds like the car's computer isn't recognizing the key that you're using. If you have another key, try that one. Otherwise the dealer will need to program the key to the car. HTH. -Jim
