Cruise control unit missing

Asked by Jaide Apr 07, 2021 at 08:08 AM about the 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased a 2003 pontiac grand am gt 6cyl and
afterwards I noticed that there was no cruise control. The
buttons on the steering wheel are there but the unit that
goes there(the guts of the buttons) is missing. All that is
there is a plug with a wire that should plug into something.
What is the part that i need??

If the car was advertised as having cruise you've been had. Sounds like the original owner or someone between them and you removed the unit. Depending how long it has been you may get some satisfaction from the seller but most used vehicle sales come with an "as is' disclaimer.
