03 pontiac grand am v6

Asked by Wesley Oct 30, 2018 at 06:06 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes my car wont start. May have to use
eether. Then sometimes if I dont use eether it will
start up 5 minutes later but the rpms shoot up to
about 3000, then it will idle a little rough. Fuel
pump, filter all are replaced. There is plenty of fuel
pressure. I was told it may be the intake, or where
my gas gauge does not work properly. It also has a
a hard time taking gas when refilling. Any ideas or
common experience with this issue?

Wouldnt that show up on a computer if i had it ran on one? And would it make the car die while sitting at a stop light? Could it possibly be the intake? Id much rather replace that than the sensor.
