I have a 2002 Pontiac grand am. I'm driving and the battery light comes on and all my lights are dim. Then all the dash lights come on and car dies while driving but it starts up after sitting awhile

Sounds like you may have a bad voltage regulator. Have the alternator tested.

Just tested the battery and it seems fine. Must be the alternator. Thanks mark
