Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have bought this car and it won't start. I
hear a clicking noise like it want to start, but
dont. I dont know if its the starter or battery,
but the radio comes on and headlights. But
recently I have tried to start it and
somewhere by the upper left side by the
motor kind of started smoking a little. I dont
know whats the problem, I would love to
hear suggestions

did it start when you bought it ? Does the click come from the starter or by the engine ? were you holding the key in start for more than 7 seconds ? Make sure the batt. terminals are tight and try a lump start or charge the batt.

Ours did the same. We have the same car. Turn car to on for 10 min off for 30 sec then report 2 x if the car wont even start then after all the 3x unhook battery for 5 min replace and it should start. The security system on these cars are known to act up and need to be reset.

I mean repete 3x not report.. I know its been 8 months but just incase you didnt get it running.
